Cultivating Sustainability

Sustainable practices & green initiatives

Gromor Food Nursery’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond just cultivating plants. It is ingrained in every aspect of our operations. Here's how our innovative initiatives are driving sustainable practices and fostering a greener future:

Natural Pest Management

Embracing nature's solutions, we employ bio-fertilisers such as fungal pathogens to combat pests like white flies, aphids, and beetles. Not only does this approach effectively control pests, but it also enriches soil nutrition, promoting a healthy ecosystem without the need for harmful chemicals.

Organic Plant Nutrition

Our dedication to sustainability is evident in our proprietary plant food, Evergreen Plus. Formulated in-house, Evergreen Plus not only enhances plant growth but also manages pests organically, ensuring a harmonious balance between productivity and environmental preservation.

Electric Vehicle Integration

Recognising the importance of reducing our carbon footprint, we've integrated 25 electric autos into our operations. Covering distances of 50-100 kilometres daily, these vehicles not only provide efficient mobility but also significantly reduce emissions, contributing to cleaner air and a healthier environment.

Water Harvesting Systems

With a focus on conserving precious resources, we've implemented extensive rainwater harvesting systems across 2 acres of our facilities. These systems support over 120 acres of soil and collect nearly 2 crore litres of water annually, reducing dependence on finite water sources and promoting sustainable water management practices.

Soil-less Mixture

Striving for innovative solutions, we've developed our All-Purpose Potting Media, meticulously crafted from Cocopeat, Cocochips, Peat Moss, Vermicompost, Coal, Greenosil, and expanded clay. This soil-less mixture not only provides optimal growing conditions for plants but also minimises environmental impact by reducing reliance on traditional soil-based cultivation methods.

At GFN, sustainability isn't just a buzzword. It is a guiding principle that shapes everything we do. From nurturing plant life to managing our operations, we're committed to minimising our ecological footprint every step of the way, and promoting a more sustainable future for generations to come.
